Cultural, legal and statutory pressures force necessary changes on individuals and entities.  Scouting America has continued to make improvements so we can thrive.  We must remember that we are a unique organization that produces a rare and exemplary result; an Eagle Scout.  On that journey we have taught them the necessary skills to adapt to those outside forces and to overcome them by staying true to Lord Robert Baden-Powell's founding principles.  They are leaders like Neil Armstrong, Willie Banks, David Montgomery, and Steven Spielberg.

Non-profit organizations like scouting rely on donations from its own members as well as community businesses and organizations for both their volunteerism and their financial contributions to provide the time and materials needed to pave the program.   

We are asking you to help us in three ways:  

1. Share.   Share this website, talk with your friends, bring up scouting in conversations.  Help spread the word that scouting is alive and well. Scouting is as relevant today as it was back in the 1920’s when it was brought to the United States of America by Chicago businessman William Boyce. 

2. Volunteer.  Our unit leaders work full time, raise kids, and own businesses.  They are your neighbors, customers, and even complete strangers in our community.  They donate their time and wisdom to lead the charge to help our youth succeed in the program.  Join us. Become a registered adult leader, or find a way to volunteer. Don’t know what to do? Don’t worry, neither did we and we are here to help you help us. 

3. Give.  Help us plan for the future of our youth and not just maintain what we have.  It is time to rebuild scouting in Northeast Texas and Southeastern Oklahoma. Continue to make that tax deductible donation to scouting so we can continue to build.  Become a Friends of Scouting donor.
