Friends of Scouting Annual Giving Campaign

The Two Rivers district covers two Texas counties and three counties in Oklahoma.  We have about 250 scouts in our five counties.  There are many ways that you can participate in this campaign, either as a fundraising volunteer, by making a gift to Friends of Scouting and by being an ambassador of Scouting using your network, both personal and on your social media accounts. Every dollar raised stays right here to support our own communities.

Annual Campaign: 
Our annual campaign kicks off each January and runs through June.  February's council wide kick off diner in Dallas begins with presentations by scouts telling their motivational stories of scouting followed by a keynote speaker many of whom were scouts.  We've had astronauts, US Navy Seals,  Presidential Secretaries of State, Defense Secretaries, an other prominent figures.   We'd love to have you join us or better yet become a table ambassador to bring 8 (or more) friends with you to spread the joy.   The night goes by fast and you will want to go back. 

This annual campaign is the foundation which allows our scouts to advance through the program is an opportunity for individuals and companies to make a 100% tax-deductible gift.  It takes over three hundred dollars each year to get each scout through the basic program.  Your contribution supports hard working families that see the leader inside of their child and bridges the gap.  Despite these hard working families own input and the individual fundraising of each scout, the road to success requires community support.  Our program is one of excellence and as such we want them to go well beyond the minimum. 

Public and private education is only about 155 days out of the year, 42%.   Your contribution allow scouts to participate in the year-round program at our four premier scout camps in five different scouting programs.  The internal infrastructure of the Circle Ten Council supports over 7,000 adult volunteers and 31,000 youth. 

Matching Gifts:
Many corporations match employee contributions made to Scouting America. Some companies even make financial contributions for volunteering time to Scouting, check with your employer to see if your time and contribution could be matched!
